‌ About Me

Hello, My name is David Sullivan, i am a software guy with passion ❤ for software development.

This blog mostly about what i do outside of my day job, just cover my programming experiences. The vast majority of my free time is spent hacking on small side projects.

You man find me in other place under the si1kdd nickname or lks20.

This blog mainly write in chinese content, some original content would use english.

Obtained my bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the NCTU in Taiwan.

I study, think and read, than work. Now I am trying to write somthing.

‌ Personal Interests (個人興趣):

I write crawler, Unix Network programs, security scripts (metasploit) in my free times.
Create automate data science tools.
Binary analysis and code optimization.
Compiler and virtual machine knowledges.
Trying to become a kernel hacker as a hobby, 😂 … It is a long way to go …
- Embracing in binary analysis.
- Operation System is charming.
- LWN.net is a good place.
I like PostgresSQL, keep on tracking it’s features. SQLite for small idea, and Oracle with jobs.
Nowadays i enjoy finish backend project with C# (.NET with Rosyln)

I enjoy cycling and swimming in holiday.

‌ Skills (個人技能):

I usually create program within C, it’s fast, simple enough for prototype.

Combine them with CMake, GNU makefile and ninja

By the way, I use Python, shell script, Lua to finish jobs particularly better suited.

Less fluently in Ruby also Perl, I do like this two lanuage because that’s so much fun and trap to discuss.

Study with C++ continuously in my life …
Most of my jobs would like to finish with C# and PowerShell.
- But for lesson propose I’ve learnt a fair amount of Web knowledge, HTML/CSS3… JavaScript etc …
Little experience in GPU (CUDA) programming.

I am familiar with FreeBSD and CentOS/RedHat configuration, also have little system administration experience in Unix like systems for about 2 year.

Usually setup systems that like ELK, Git server, NFS, OpenStack or VMs (ESXi) to the laboratory i joined/worked.

I would get used to using some automation tools such as Ansible

But i still open KVM manually … 😂

My research direction in college are Network QoS and system virtualization (mainly study LXC and Jails).
